Reverse lunge

Step back and lower: easier on the knees than a forward lunge, great for balance.

Just floor space

How to do it

  1. 1 Stand tall, then take a long step back with one foot.
  2. 2 Lower until your back knee nearly touches the floor.
  3. 3 Push through the front heel to return to standing. Alternate legs.

Watch out for

  • Short steps that push the front knee forward
  • Leaning over
Too hard? Try Split squat
