Terms of use

By using Ethereal you agree to these terms. They are short because the service is simple: a free, static website that runs in your browser.

What Ethereal is

Ethereal provides general educational tools and content about nutrition and body weight. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional or fitness advice. See the medical disclaimer.

Your data

Everything you enter is stored only in your browser. We do not receive, store or process it, and we cannot recover it if you clear your browser data. You are responsible for exporting backups. See the privacy page.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Estimates may be inaccurate for you individually. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from use of the service.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service if you are under 18 without a parent or guardian's involvement, and do not use it to pursue intakes or rates of weight loss that a clinician has advised against for you.

Changes

We may update the service and these terms at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Last updated: 28 October 2026.
